After a major discussion at breakfast, whether we should take a ferry across the sea of Marmara or drive around it, we decided to hit the road. it was again a nightmare getting out of Istanbul with traffic and the cars driving like go-carts. Drove all along the coast towards Troy, sailed across on a small ferry, which connects the sea of Marmara with the Aegan Sea. Hit the small town of Canakkle. Did about 450 km in about 4 hours. The roads were good and traffic thinned out.
In the small town of Canakkle we got totally lost trying to find our hotel. Thank god a helpful Turk showed us the way, by driving ahead of us. Our hotel is in a small alley which is a dump, but we anyway checked in, had lunch and a good afternoon nap.
Went for a walk around town, Daniel was only looking at the babes and they get 9 out of 10 compared to Istanbul, and they also dress more westernized here. Sat and played cards in a café by the harbor, and had a great dinner afterwards.
