Took a day of from being a tourist. I think we all well deserved it. Our bodies were still sore from the trekking and hill top monasteries yesterday. Mum, Daniel and my self went for a Turkish bath. This place is like a spa with marble all around. We were first told to sit in the sauna, which was dammed boring, after that a shower and then the excitement started. To burly tough looking Turkish thugs walked in with towels around their waist and a petite Turkish babe for Mum. Life is full of surprises. We were placed between two marble tubs and they poured hot water on us and then started scrubbing us with a glove which felt like sand paper. They washed of all the dirt and grime from the last 30 years. This was without soap. We were then told to have another shower and to lie on a marble table. The biggest Turkish masseur then attacked me with a bucket of soap, and massaged me all over with soap. I told him to concentrate on not getting his fingers to slip on the soap and hit some of my family jewels. He then asked me to turn over and I never felt so exposed in my whole life. But he behaved like a good boy and left my ass alone. Thank God for small mercies. After this, another shower, and into another room for an oil massage. Boy did I feel good after this. Mummy and Daniel also loved it. Susanne wasted her whole morning looking at Goremes Open Air museum. Some people have all the fun. Had a great lunch. Got pissed in the evening on Raki and had clay pot kebabs for dinner. Exciting day.
