24.09.09 Goreme

Went for a day trip with an English speaking guide. First we stopped at a few places with beautiful spectacular views of these cave dwellers. This is really were the family Flintstone lived. After that we went to see the underground city. This is an amazing experience. you walk about sixty meters underground, which is 5 floors down, with narrow tunnels and pathways. It was very claustrophobic and dimly lit, the walking down was the easy part. They have ventilation shafts, water wells, churches and everything here that 3000 people needed to live of. The Christians used to live here as they were persecuted by the Muslims. Now comes the difficult part. We had to walk up again. I placed my self behind a Brazilian chick, with the best ass, and prayed to God that she did not fart. We had to walk upwards, bending down, with your head between your legs, so I really did not get to see that lovely ass. This was tough going for Mummy and she was quite breathless when we reached the top again. It was great to see sunlight again. We then went for a trek up in the mountains where we saw beautiful churches in the caves and amazing frescoes. We walked for about 3½ km next to a river, with spectacular views, had lunch on a small island in the middle of the river, this was amazing. Went to see another monastery. now we had to climb 5 floors vertically up, boy was that tough. After I hauled my fat ass all the way to the top, it was scary to walk down, but we did it. Mummy and Daniel skipped this part of the trip. They were the smartest guys in the bus. Went to see an onyx factory and Daniel won an onyx egg. Came back to the hotel at about 5 pm, what an exhausting day.
We had dinner in a beautiful restaurant which made food in clay pots, which are broken at the table. The food was so good so we ordered dinner for tomorrow again.
